I will be teaching your child in Physical Education. I am really glad to welcome you and your child to my class this year. I graduated from California State University with a major in Kinesiology- Exercise Science. I am currently focusing on my Internship this year and by the end of the year I will have my preliminary credential. I was a long-term substitute at Burton district where I taught 6th grade. This is my second year teaching P.E at PUSD and I am so excited and happy! I am excited to get to meet and get to know each of my students and their parents. My goal is to have each student learn and develop a healthy lifestyle. This year students will learn various sports, functional movements, and strength and cardiovascular training. Students will learn how to work together, develop social skills, exhibit sportsmanship and teamwork. I expect all students to try their best and have a positive attitude. I expect all students to display good sportsmanship and character. I grade students on sportsmanship, teamwork, behavior, and participation.
Please make sure that students wear appropriate clothing and shoe wear to ensure their safety during class. During this hot weather have your child bring a water bottle as well.
Warmest Regards, Alexandria Florendo
